Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Private Equity Fund Services (PEFS) Manager to oversee day-to-day private equity deliverables, including financial reporting, capital calls, distributions, carried interest, and fees. You will manage client relationships, supervise seniors and associates, and guide staff through complex fund accounting processes.

The role requires mastery of PE fund accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Investran/Yardi.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years’ supervisory experience (coaching, performance reviews, etc.).
• Experience with commercial real estate fund accounting, exposure to property-level and ownership accounting preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• MBA/MSA strongly preferred.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Experience in forecasting and budgeting during growth periods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Investran or other PE accounting software a plus.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with Investran and/or Yardi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review quarterly financial statements to investors.
• Oversee and review quarterly investor capital statements.
• Prepare schedules to support general ledger balances.
• Prepare and distribute capital call notices to investors per Operating Agreement.
• Prepare and distribute distribution notices per Operating Agreement.
• Interpret terms in the Fund Operating Agreement.
• Calculate and review complex waterfall structures and carried interest.
• Calculate management fees owed to the management company.
• Ensure timely payment of management fees.
• Liaise with General Partners and respond to requests.
• Complete required regulatory forms for compliance.
• Review investment agreements for cash movement alignment.
• Interact with auditors and provide reports for year-end audits.
• Supervise, coach and train team members.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

MBA/MSA preferred

CPA license preferred
