Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a PEFS Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of private equity client deliverables including quarterly reporting, capital calls, and distributions. The role requires mastery of private equity fund accounting, client relationship oversight, and team leadership across seniors and associates.

The successful candidate will manage complex calculations, regulatory forms, and coordination with auditors, while coaching and training the PEFS team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 5 years’ (relevant) experience in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years’ supervisory experience in performance management, training, talent acquisition, and retention.
• Experience with commercial real estate fund accounting, exposure to property-level and ownership accounting preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; Advanced degree (MBA/MSA) preferred; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review the preparation and distribution of quarterly financial statements to investors of the Fund.
• Oversee and review the preparation and distribution of quarterly investor capital statements to investors of the Fund.
• Oversee and review the preparation of schedules to support the general ledger balances reported in the quarterly financial statements.
• Oversee and review the preparation and distribution of capital call notices to investors, notifying them when contributions are due.
• Oversee and review the preparation and distribution notices to investors, notifying them when proceeds will be received.
• Understand and interpret terms set forth within a Fund's Operating Agreement.
• Calculate and review complex waterfall structures and carried interest.
• Calculate management fees owed to the management Company; ensure timely payment.
