Job summary

Selby Jennings seeks an experienced Director for a senior private equity investment role in Dallas. The position oversees deals from diligence to execution and portfolio management, acting as the quarterback coordinating internal and external stakeholders while maintaining disciplined underwriting and post-close oversight throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

10–15 years of experience in private equity.
Strong LBO experience required or highly preferred.
Ability to lead the investment process independently from start to finish.
Experience with building products, commercial services, or industrials is a plus.
Excellent analytical, communication, and execution skills.

Responsibilities

Lead investments from initial review through closing and active portfolio management.
Own financial modeling, valuation, and analysis for LBO transactions.
Manage third-party advisors and diligence workstreams.
Structure, negotiate, and execute transaction terms.
Present investment recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees.
Monitor portfolio performance and support value-creation initiatives.
Mentor junior investment professionals and contribute to team development.
