Job summary

Voya Financial is seeking a seasoned Private Credit Analyst to source, underwrite, and manage asset-based investments across private credit and structured finance. You will lead diligence, build financial models, and present recommendations to senior leadership.

You will collaborate with senior analysts and portfolio managers to monitor assets, analyze credit quality, and support ongoing reporting and client requests. A CFA or equivalent is preferred, with 3–5 years of capital markets experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree; CFA Designation or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of capital markets experience at an investment bank, asset manager, or buy-side institution; specific experience in structured finance and asset-based finance is required.
• Demonstrated credit analysis skills, including ability to assess creditworthiness, structure, investment merits and key risks of asset-based and structured finance transactions.
• Advanced data analysis and structured finance modeling skills are essential, including Excel-based cash flow and scenario modeling; Python programming experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of transaction documentation, covenant frameworks, structural protections, and creditor remedies across private credit and structured finance transactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex investment analyses and recommendations clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in AI-enabled tools and their effective application to investment analysis and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Asset Selection: Evaluate, underwrite, and execute private credit, structured finance, and alternative investment opportunities; screen new transactions and formulate investment recommendations.
• Asset Selection: Review data including collateral tapes, financial statements, and asset-level information to assess credit quality and risk.
• Asset Selection: Lead due diligence and execution, coordinating with issuers, sponsors, and advisors to manage timelines and drive closing.
• Asset Selection: Negotiate terms with issuers, sponsors, and advisors.
• Asset Selection: Develop and analyze financial models to support underwriting and decisions.
• Asset Selection: Present investment recommendations and diligence findings to senior members and Investment Committee.
• Asset Selection: Share market insights across investment teams to support decision-making.
