Job summary

Voya Investment Management is seeking a Research Analyst to join its Income & Growth team, responsible for generating high-conviction investment insights across the US Financial Services sector. The analyst will work closely with portfolio managers to drive stock selection within the sector and deliver robust investment theses.

You will develop detailed financial models, assess banks and insurers, and present actionable recommendations to inform investment decisions and risk management.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in equity or credit research or related roles focusing on financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of bank and insurance financial statements and sector valuation methods.
• Demonstrated ability to generate differentiated insights and investment ideas.
• Exceptional financial modeling, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced degree (MBA/MS Finance) or CFA preferred.
• High integrity and intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundamental research coverage of banks, insurers, fintech platforms, and other finance companies.
• Develop financial models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses for performance and capital structures.
• Produce actionable investment recommendations supported by rigorous analysis.
• Monitor sector developments, regulatory changes, and macro trends affecting investments.
• Partner with portfolio managers to shape strategy, position sizing, and risk management.
• Present theses and risk analyses to the investment committee with clarity.
• Identify mispriced securities and thematic opportunities across the capital structure.
