Job summary

Alteryx seeks a Senior Counsel, Privacy & Security to act as a primary legal advisor on privacy, data protection, information security, and AI matters. The role is remote-friendly with the ability to work in a fast-paced tech environment and lead complex customer and vendor negotiations.

The ideal candidate is an experienced in-house lawyer with strong transactional background in software, knowledge of global privacy law (GDPR, US state privacy laws), and familiarity with AI regulation.

Qualifications

• In-house experience negotiating privacy, data protection, and information security terms in enterprise software transactions.
• Experience communicating complex legal concepts to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of GDPR, US state privacy laws, and international transfer mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations on privacy, data protection, information security, AI, HIPAA, and related requirements.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Information Security, and legal teams to assess risk and safeguards.
• Create and maintain standardized agreements, addenda, and privacy/AI templates.
• Develop customer-facing privacy, data-use, security, and compliance materials.
