Job summary

OpenTable is seeking a Senior Counsel, Privacy & Product to join our Legal team in San Francisco, hybrid schedule. You will serve as a trusted advisor to Product, Engineering, Security, Commercial, Partnerships, and Marketing, guiding privacy, data protection, and AI governance across the product lifecycle.

You will also act as Deputy Privacy Officer, partnering with Booking Holdings to operationalize global privacy programs while enabling responsible innovation at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience in privacy, data protection, or product matters.
• US law degree and active membership in at least one US state bar.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR and US state privacy laws and global consumer protection laws.
• Experience counseling product teams on new features and data use.

Responsibilities

• Advise on product development, data uses, and consumer experiences with privacy and data protection in mind.
• Serve as Deputy Privacy Officer and liaise with Booking Holdings on privacy matters.
• Embed privacy-by-design principles into products and operations.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on AI governance and emerging technologies.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to navigate regulatory requirements across geographies.
