Job summary

Deepgram seeks a Privacy Operations Lead to own the privacy program's operational backbone across hosted, dedicated, and self-hosted deployments. You will map data flows, produce processing records, and serve as the technical voice in enterprise privacy reviews, enabling compliant, verifiable privacy claims.

You will collaborate with Legal and Engineering to translate GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and AI regulation into concrete requirements, define retention and deletion policies, and build repeatable

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in privacy operations, legal operations, or technical privacy and compliance.
• Demonstrated ownership of privacy operational systems at scale: data maps, DSAR workflows, consent management, retention processes, or tooling behind them.
• Technically fluent: able to read architecture diagrams and understand data flows through datacenters and cloud infra.

Responsibilities

• Own privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, and transfer impact assessments end to end.
• Build and maintain data flow maps and records of processing across deployments.
• Translate GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and AI regulations into engineering and GTM requirements.
• Define privacy requirements for product and infrastructure changes and drive implementation.
• Own the operating model for privacy controls, disclosures, and opt-out handling.
• Design and run auditing workflows to catch drift between claims and reality.
• Own subprocessor and vendor privacy review process and DPAs artifacts.
• Develop privacy enablement: playbooks, self-service guidance, and training for teams.
