Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a Privacy Operations Lead to own the operational backbone of our privacy program. You will map data flows across hosted, dedicated, and self-hosted deployments and produce playbooks, records, and guidance for Legal, Engineering, and Sales Engineering to use without re-derivation.

Roughly half the work is assessments and advisory; the rest is designing processes, tooling, and verification workflows. A senior IC role with global impact and data-residency considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience running assessments end to end and owning outcomes.
• Ownership of privacy operational systems at scale including data maps and workflows.
• Able to read architecture diagrams, follow data flows, and understand logs/retention settings.

Responsibilities

• Own customer and prospect privacy risk assessments, DPIs and transfer impact assessments end to end; be the technical voice in reviews.
• Build and maintain data flow maps and records of processing across deployments and keep them accurate as the product evolves.
• Translate GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and emerging AI regulations into concrete requirements for engineering and GTM teams.
• Define privacy requirements for product/infrastructure changes and drive implementation with owning teams.
• Own the operating model for privacy controls: retention/deletion, DSAR workflows, consent handling, de-id and redaction.
• Design and run auditing/remediation workflows to ensure claims are verifiable and up to date.
• Own subprocessor and vendor privacy reviews and DPAs; produce artifacts for trust center.
• Enable privacy through playbooks, training, and self-service guidance for engineering/support/sales.
• Partner with Legal on DPAs, SCCs, transfer mechanisms, and residency commitments for deployments.
• Collaborate with Security so privacy and security evidence are produced once and reused.
