Job summary

Unified Women’s Healthcare seeks an experienced Senior Counsel - Privacy to lead the privacy program across a national network. The role partners with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, HR, and Technology to protect personal and sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include developing governance frameworks, guiding DPIAs, and reporting to senior leadership. Hybrid in-office role with strong leadership and policy development requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• JD and bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Extensive experience in privacy, information governance, or similar.
• Proven leadership of enterprise privacy programs and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication and analytical skills for executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on privacy laws and regulations.
• Develop and lead enterprise privacy strategy, governance, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry privacy laws; monitor regulatory changes.
• Design and improve privacy program, processes, and controls.
• Oversee privacy risk assessments and data protection impact assessments.
• Embed privacy-by-design across the organization with stakeholders.
• Direct privacy incident response, investigations, and remediation.
• Oversee third-party privacy risk management and data-sharing agreements.
• Develop privacy education and awareness programs for the organization.
• Provide leadership and reporting to executives on privacy performance.
