Merrick Bank is seeking a senior-level compliance/risk professional to own and evolve privacy and governance programs. The role requires 7+ years in banking, strong data protection knowledge, and collaboration with Legal, IT, and business units to strengthen controls.

You will assess governance effectiveness, drive remediation, and support regulatory examinations in a dynamic financial services environment in Utah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in compliance, banking, audit, or risk roles.
• Experience with data governance, information security, or privacy processes in regulated finance.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain privacy, compliance governance components and risk assessments.
• Review issues and compliance matters for ownership, documentation, and closure readiness.
• Drive remediation, governance enhancements, and program improvements.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, IT, and business units to ensure consistent governance.
