Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM field with 8 years of experience; or 6 years with a Master's; or 4 years with a STEM PhD.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application with SAP eligibility.
• 3+ years full lifecycle systems engineering including concept, development, and verification.
• 3+ years writing and tracing complex requirements and governing ICDs for hardware, software and interfaces.
• 3+ years external supplier/subcontractor management for complex, high‑value hardware.
• 3+ years reading and translating technical docs to requirements and supplier flow.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Responsible Engineer for hardware and software items from vendors or internal orders.
• Interpret data to assess applicability to program requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical challenges while protecting cost and schedule targets.
• Review and approve deliverables from subcontract data requirements.
• Assist in managing subcontractor statements of work and performance.
• Maintain configuration control and ensure conformance to engineering standards.
• Provide status reports and risk updates to program leadership.
• Participate in cross-functional reviews and source selection activities as needed.
• Document decisions and corrective actions in requirements traceability and CM tools.
