Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to lead full lifecycle development from CONOPS to validation at our Marlborough, MA site. The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and extensive integration, test, and systems engineering expertise.

The ideal candidate will oversee lab activities, ensure scalable interfaces, and guide integration within target environments, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with IPT leaders and program managers.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Strong integration and test experience including test procedure development, execution, and reporting.
• Proficient with EVMS and earned value management practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft products and task boards (Jira, IBM EWM).

Qualifications You Must Have

• Strong integration and test experience including test procedure development, test execution, test reporting, and test automation
• Knowledge of or application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
• Proficient in tooling to include Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.)
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in Communication Radio and Systems: SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, PTW, or V/UHF
• Experience in Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
• Proficient in tooling to include CAMEO, Rhapsody
• Experience in proposal support including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
• Experience in System Level Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V) for ground based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms
• Experience in Virtual Machine design and deployment
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and ability to effectively communicate with IPT leaders, hardware and software development engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and our customers

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
