Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer to support the Integration & Test department at the Woodland Hills, CA facility. The role requires on-site work and an active Secret clearance.

You will collaborate with physicists and engineers to translate customer requirements into robust system solutions and lead testing efforts. Responsibilities include requirements flow-down, design verification, and hands-on electrical testing.

Qualifications

• Active US Government Secret Level security clearance.
• Experience in System Engineering activities including requirements development, test procedure development, and verification and validation.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues, lead problem-solving efforts, and drive tasks to completion.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership of projects or teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify unique requirements from a broad customer base and translate them into design documentation.
• Work on product capabilities, performance analyses, and verification methods.
• Ensure conversion of requirements into complete system solutions within constraints.
• Perform functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and requirements allocation.
• Document and manage multiple requirements sets for performance and interfaces.
• Design, develop, and implement testing methods to verify project requirements.
• Hands-on electrical testing at component and system levels.
• Document and disposition hardware discrepancies and drive root-cause actions.
