Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer at Hanscom AFB to provide technical and programmatic guidance on advanced weapon systems, sensors, and processing technologies.

The role requires collaboration across organizations and travel up to 25% during surge periods. You will lead mission engineering, draft SoS requirements, and help refine acquisition strategies while interfacing with government officials and program leads to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant work experience supporting cross-functional teams in a complex SoS environment.
• Extensive acquisition experience developing SoS interoperability strategies and matrices.
• Experience supporting government officials in approval of acquisition documents and monitoring program execution.
• Experience with classified and special access programs.
• Must be located within commuting distance of Hanscom AFB, MA.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory support to integration planning and implementation for the DAF Battle Network.
• Support acquisition interoperability strategies for multi-SoS IT architectures and develop SoS matrices.
• Execute mission engineering processes, draft SoS requirements, and develop DAF Battle Network architecture.
• Consult with program representatives to refine requirements and review acquisition documents, schedules, risks and dependencies.
• Provide excellent customer support and coordinate onboarding/offboarding of personnel.
