DAn Solutions is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support enterprise desktop engineering and endpoint infrastructure for a government customer. You will work on Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, enforcing security baselines and DISA standards.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, with hands-on experience in AD, SCCM, and scripting. On-site work is required in Maryland/Virginia, with no remote options.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree and at least six years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification compliance is required.
• Extensive experience with Windows 10/11, and macOS endpoint environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise Windows systems.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and vSphere.

Position Overview

DAn Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support enterprise desktop engineering and endpoint infrastructure for a government customer. This position focuses on engineering, deploying, securing, and maintaining Windows, Apple, and Linux desktop environments while ensuring compliance with established security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement endpoint engineering strategies aligned with enterprise technology roadmaps.

• Maintain DISA-approved Windows installation media and Secure Host Baselines (SHB).

• Package, test, and deploy Windows and Microsoft Office security updates.

• Develop and maintain configuration guides and technical documentation.

• Design, test, deploy, and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) through Microsoft Active Directory.

• Engineer and maintain desktop images, applications, and configuration updates.

• Deploy and update approved applications using the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT).

• Support secure desktop lifecycle management, compliance, and system improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

• Bachelor's degree and at least six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification compliance.

• Extensive experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS endpoint environments.

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM.

• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise Windows systems.

• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash.

• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and vSphere.

Accepted IAT Level II Certifications

Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security, as specified in the position requirements.

The position may be filled at different Labor Category (LCAT) levels depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contract requirements.
