Job summary
Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Datalinks to join the Cedar Rapids team. The role spans datalink/communications, sensors, navigation, modeling, and antennas, with hands-on lab work across the full engineering lifecycle. You will design and develop systems for land, sea and air domains, coordinating with diverse teams to meet program milestones.
Security clearance required (DoD Secret) and U.S. citizenship.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Experience coordinating cross functional engineering activities and drives execution of project plans.
- Experience with integration and verification planning across teams and test artifacts.
Responsibilities
- Lead a Systems team as a Technical Project Manager guiding decisions and interfacing with PM and Leadership.
- Be a Cost Account Management for various engineering integration and qualification activities.
- Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements, traceability, verification, and certification.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of program milestones.
