Work with storage architects, program leads, and end‑users to design end‑to‑end solutions based on program requirements involving hardware and operating system technologies.

Integrate and partner with programs, network engineering, and high‑performance computing teams to solve complex infrastructure problems.

Assure a high level of reliability and performance through systems monitoring and infrastructure management, with a deep understanding of data storage performance requirements.

Respond to online service requests from users.

Ensure server and application compliance with security and performance requirements (e.g., DFARS, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).

Provide expertise with NAS storage products, with an emphasis on: storage system installation, network configuration, and data migrations; command‑line proficiency; software upgrades; log analysis; high‑availability configurations; inter‑cluster connectivity; disk‑to‑disk backups; disk‑to‑tape backups; Snap technology; and health, capacity, and performance monitoring.

Attend regularly scheduled meetings to report on project status and create updates and status reports for management.

Develop, revise, and maintain technical and operational documentation (e.g., technical implementation guides).

Assist in developing the overall performance and capability of your technical team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Support systems that are operational 24x7, with occasional work effort required beyond standard work hours. Start date will not be set until Interim clearance is issued.

What You Will Learn

How to navigate the complex and interconnected defense program environments that support our nation’s warfighters and the unique processes within the defense industry for maintaining production.

Forecasting and budgeting for annual and long‑term operating plans.
