The Citrix Senior Principal Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing Citrix solutions that support our client's business transformation. The successful candidate will assess business requirements, design architectures involving Citrix/NetScaler, provide guidance on best practices, develop execution plans, and communicate strategic insights to senior leadership, positioning themselves as a thought leader. They should be passionate about aligning business needs with technical solutions, ensuring optimal integration of people, processes, and technology to achieve business objectives.

About This Team

The Citrix Solutions Architecture team is part of the Citrix business unit within Cloud Software Group. Our team provides expert guidance to customers, helping them leverage Citrix technology to create value. The role involves up to 50% travel and offers a flexible work environment to balance professional and personal commitments.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement tailored Citrix solutions based on client needs.
2. Engage with stakeholders to assess requirements and recommend appropriate architectures.
3. Provide technical thought leadership and collaborate with account teams during client engagements.
4. Develop strategies to optimize existing Citrix deployments.
5. Ensure solutions comply with security and regulatory standards.
6. Identify risks and design mitigation strategies.
7. Work with security and infrastructure teams for secure and efficient integration.
8. Share lessons learned and best practices across teams.
9. Analyze problems to determine root causes.
10. Collaborate with product and engineering teams, providing expert knowledge.
11. Contribute to the development of new products, processes, and standards.
12. Mentor and train team members and cross-functional teams.
13. Lead small teams to achieve customer and business goals.
14. Identify business requirements and work with product leadership on roadmaps and enhancements.

Experience & Skills

1. Understanding of Citrix and competitive technologies.
2. Experience in client-facing or consultative roles.
3. Proven success in designing and deploying Citrix solutions.
4. Interest in cloud transformation and its business impact.
5. Broad knowledge of DaaS/VDI, Secure Access, Enterprise Browser, Enterprise Mobility Management, Networking, Security, and Observability.
6. Expertise in cloud technologies and integrations.
7. Strong senior management skills and excellent communication abilities.
8. Ability to understand and articulate business cases and technical solutions.
9. Knowledge of business processes and enterprise application implementation.
10. Capability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations.
11. Independent and team work skills, with attention to detail and strategic focus.
12. Willingness to travel as required.
13. Innovative, business-minded, and design-driven mindset.

Requirements

1. Active US Top Secret security clearance.
2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
3. 15+ years in sales engineering or consulting in high-tech environments, with at least 7+ years serving US Federal and DoD clients.
4. 7+ years in SaaS or PaaS.
5. Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
6. Experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations.
7. Certifications such as Citrix CCE-V, Microsoft Azure certifications, AWS certifications, Google Cloud Engineer, or security certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.

Compensation varies by location and qualifications, with potential bonuses and incentives. Typical ranges are: NYC: $209,635-$314,453; CA: $218,750-$328,124; Other locations: $182,291-$273,437.
