Collins Aerospace’s Strategic Solutions team seeks a Senior Principal Software Product Owner/Release Train Engineer to lead mission-critical software for U.S. armed forces in a DevSecOps cloud environment.

The role blends Product Owner, Control Account Manager, and RTE duties within a large cross-functional program, delivering on schedule while mentor­ing interns and engineers across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience or 7 years with an advanced STEM degree.
• Prior Product Owner experience in Agile/SAFe environments.
• Experience as a Release Train Engineer.
• Experience with Agile SDLC and DevSecOps pipelines.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Release Train Engineer for the Mission Systems Software team, guiding PI planning and backlog refinement.
• Serve as Product Owner for the Software Systems domain, decomposing requirements and validating integration.
• Coordinate with SEIT, software architects, and engineers to meet schedules and functionality.
• Manage scope as Control Account Manager and ensure delivery of commitments.
• Mentor interns and engineers across locations to foster collaboration and predictable execution.
