You will analyze navigation performance, collaborate with stakeholders, and present at technical forums while advancing sensor fusion and state-estimation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline with 5 years of engineering experience; Master’s with 3 years; PhD with 1 year.
• Experience implementing Sensor Fusion for Navigation Systems using IMU, GPS, barometers, and other sensors.
• Experience implementing advanced state-estimation algorithms (EKF, UKF, Particle Filter).
• Experience with noise modeling and covariance tuning.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze navigation performance in lab and flight test scenarios.
• Communicate status, issues, and results with program management and customers.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop advanced navigation and timing technologies.
• Work with a team of navigation and timing experts to advance the state of the art.
• Present ideas to internal/external groups and represent Northrop Grumman at conferences.
