Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories, located in Livermore, CA, seeks an experienced Software Engineer (R&D S&E Computer Science) to design and implement cutting-edge solutions for high-consequence national security challenges. You will collaborate with U.S.

government customers to develop capabilities supporting warfighters and national security. On any given day, you may lead design teams, develop software architectures, write tests, and provide on-call production support, while addressing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years directly relevant experience.
• Active DOE Q-level clearance (or equivalent) with ability to obtain SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with technical design teams to create innovative solutions meeting mission requirements.
• Architect software systems, develop code, write unit tests, and create software tools.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, System Engineers, IT staff, management and customers to implement solutions addressing requirements.
• Provide on-call support for software discrepancy in production environment.
• Develop and execute test plans/procedures, create reports and write software documentation.
• Perform system integration and testing and ensure secure software engineering practices.
