Job summary

Providence is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer IS for a hybrid role. You will own end-to-end software development, drive quality, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver caregiver-focused solutions.

Role requires extensive OO programming (C#, Java, Python), cloud experience (Azure/AWS), and strong leadership in large-scale programs. Hybrid work model with focus on collaboration across Enterprise Information Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/CE/Math/Engineering.
• 12 years related software development experience with 5+ years in lead role.
• Strong OO programming experience in C#, Java, Python or equivalent.
• Experience with Git and cross-team collaboration.
• Extensive SQL/noSQL data modeling and integration experience.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira).
• Cloud experience with Azure/AWS and hybrid environments.
• Proven track record as technical leader for large, complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development and quality of software solutions.
• Evaluate requirements, estimate costs, design and implement solutions.
• Define quality criteria and measure experience for caregivers.
• Manage risks, dependencies and engineering processes.
• Lead multiple projects with accountability for timeliness and quality.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver enterprise-wide systems.
