Job summary
Providence is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer IS - Hybrid to own end-to-end development and quality of solutions that support caregivers and health systems. You will evaluate requirements, estimate costs, design and implement scalable software while ensuring measurable quality.
You’ll lead technical delivery across teams, define quality criteria, manage risks, and integrate software into broader ecosystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, CS, Math, Engineering or equivalent.
- 12 years related experience, with at least 5 years as a lead engineer.
- Extensive OO programming in C#, Java, Python or equivalent.
- Experience with Git and multi-team workflows.
- Extensive SQL/noSQL data modeling and integration.
- Extensive Agile experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira.
- Proven ability to lead large enterprise projects.
- Experience with Azure/AWS/hybrid cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership for development quality of solutions.
- Evaluate requirements, estimate costs, and design implementations.
- Define quality criteria and measure experiences for caregivers.
- Manage engineering processes, risks, and dependencies.
- Integrate software into broader ecosystems and services.
- Lead multiple projects to successful completion.
