Job summary

Providence seeks a Senior Principal Software Engineer IS – Hybrid to own end-to-end development and quality of software solutions that delight caregivers. You will evaluate requirements, estimate costs, design and implement solutions, and define quality criteria with measurable caregiver experience.

You’ll lead engineering processes, manage risks, and collaborate across teams on enterprise-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, CS, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
12 years software development experience with at least 5 years as lead engineer.
Extensive experience with OOP languages (C#, Java, Python).
Experience with Git and cross-team workflows.
Extensive SQL integration development with SQL/NoSQL.
Extensive experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Jira.
Experience with Azure/AWS/hybrid cloud technologies.
Proven track record as technical leader for large enterprise-wide projects.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end development and quality of solutions and services.
Evaluate requirements, estimate costs, and design implementations.
Define and implement quality criteria and use metrics to validate caregiver experience.
Manage and improve engineering processes, risks, and dependencies.
Lead multiple complex projects and collaborate across teams to deliver value.
