Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to architect, design and deliver highly scalable products. You will master our development process, mentor others, and participate in on-call rotations to keep services highly available.

The role requires 10+ years of professional software development, strong OO programming in Java/C/C++/C#, and experience with web frameworks such as Node.js, Express or similar. A related technical degree is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in computer science or related technical field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming in Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, or Python.
• High proficiency with at least one web framework (Node.js, Express, Hapi).
• Experience with web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and databases (SQL).
• Experience with automated testing (JUnit, Selenium) and test strategies.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test and deliver scalable products.
• Master our development process, culture and code base, then improve it.
• Operate optimally in the hybrid engineering model where engineers are encouraged to be able to craft and complete the vital work to ensure quality in their own code as well as other engineers
• Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
• Present your own designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others
• Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to address sophisticated problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available.
