Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineering Consultant to own architecture within Service and Sales Cloud, steering technical direction and mentoring developers. The role blends hands-on development with leadership in a mature Salesforce environment, with exposure to Einstein/AI capabilities and modern integration patterns.

Hybrid role: 2x per week in Lake Forest, IL. Ideal candidate will guide teams through high‑pressure moments, influence technical direction, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of implementation experience spanning the full software development lifecycle.
• Background in object‑oriented languages such as Java or C#, plus front‑end web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and a proven track record of Salesforce development.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce data modeling, interface design, and testing best practices.
• Familiarity with modern software design and integration patterns, including API development (SOAP, REST, or microservices).
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban development environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles as applied to Salesforce code check‑in through deployment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with external vendors and Salesforce partners.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching other developers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement enterprise‑level Salesforce solutions across Service and Sales Cloud.
• Partner with internal developers to evaluate, design, and deliver new business capabilities.
• Integrate Salesforce with other cloud platforms and apply best practices in data modeling, interface design, and testing.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments using SalesforceDX.
• Guide the development and support team through critical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
