Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Engineer – Level 4 to support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense Weapon System (GWS) in development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of network and infrastructure equipment.

This on-site role is located on our Huntsville, AL campus. Essential qualifications include a STEM degree with years of experience, DoD clearance and IAT II certification, RMF knowledge, and strong coding in C#/C++/Python with scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4 years.
• US Citizenship and an active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher at time of application.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-37 RMF and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Experience with C#, C++, Python, PowerShell and Bash for software development and scripting.
• Experience with revision control systems (BitBucket, git, CVS, etc.).
• Experience with Microsoft Windows technologies and Red Hat.
• Experience with Windows Active Directory and SQL integration.
• Experience writing command-line scripts and operating on the CLI.
• Hands-on system troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Full stack software cloud development in an IaaS platform spanning Python, Perl, Ansible, Kubernetes, cloud provisioning, PKI, and code analysis remediation.
• Develop cloud software for the GWS program and customer-driven requirements.
• Develop software enabling activity planning and constraint checking to achieve mission outcomes.
