Job summary

Palo Alto Networks in California is seeking an engineer to contribute to security posture features, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver end-to-end development from requirements to deployment.

The role focuses on building scalable cloud applications using Golang in a GCP environment, working across the full SDLC and supporting distributed cloud services. You will engage with PLM and QA, participate in CI/CD, and may interact with customers during production support.

Qualifications

• Strong programming and scripting in Golang and Python.
• Experience with cloud environments (GCP preferred; AWS acceptable).
• Hands-on development and operation of cloud-based services.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity across research, design, implementation and ops.
• Experience with observability frameworks and monitoring for cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate on technical design and implementation.
• QA collaboration and release/deployment activities.
• Ongoing maintenance and operational support.
• Occasionally interact with customers and participate in on-call rotation.
