Job summary

Oracle US is seeking a Consulting Member of Technical Staff (IC5) on the DC Software and Automation team to architect, design, and operate distributed services powering data center lifecycle at scale. You will shape system architecture, guide initiatives, and improve reliability and operability across OCI Data Centers.

You will lead critical reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product management to deliver durable, scalable solutions and advanced automation for AI-ready data center

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of full stack software development, including design, implementation, and operation of distributed services.
• Experience owning production services end-to-end in a builder-operator model.
• Strong product development experience in Java, Python, Go, and JavaScript.
• Expertise designing REST APIs and building multi-tenant services with clear isolation, quota, and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading architecture and functional reviews, strong documentation habits, and collaboration with Product Managers.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and operate distributed services supporting data center lifecycle workflows.
• Own feature delivery from design through production rollout, including testing and deployment readiness.
• Operate in a builder-operator model with on-call rotations and incident-driven improvements.
• Lead technical reviews and maintain clear, secure, and supportable designs.
• Improve velocity and quality via code reviews, test automation, and CI/CD enhancements.
• Partner with Product Managers to translate requirements into roadmaps and milestones.
• Mentor engineers and raise standards across teams.
• Reduce operational toil with automation and observability across systems.
