Job summary

Oracle in Chicago seeks a Senior Network Developer to lead design, validation, deployment, and automation across large-scale data center networks and OCI regions. You’ll drive modernization, runbooks, and incident response while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include network design, automation, testing, and optimizing operations using Python and AI-assisted tools, with 50%+ travel to OCI data centers.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/EE or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in hyperscale cloud, ISP, or large enterprise networks.
• Strong data center networking knowledge.
• Hands-on with routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS).
• Proficient in Python and network automation frameworks.
• Familiar with YANG/OpenConfig/NETCONF/gNMI and telemetry.
• Excellent troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling for automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead build and expansion for OCI regions and AI infra.
• Deploy and operate large spine-leaf fabrics and network backbones.
• Develop MOPs, runbooks, and best practices.
• Automate using Python and modern engineering practices.
• Mentor engineers and lead incident response.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
