Waters Corporation seeks a Research Senior Principal Scientist in chromatography to lead cutting-edge development of next-generation LC systems. Qualifications

• Pd.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or related field, with chromatography instrumentation emphasis or 12+ years with a recognized institution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a research team and deliver results in a multi-project environment.
• Deep expertise in liquid chromatography fundamentals, including retention, band-broadening, and gradient elution.
• Hands-on experience developing or evaluating instrumentation including pumps, detectors, and fluidic paths.
• Strong publication, patent, or conference record in separation science or analytical instrumentation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and guide a cross-disciplinary research group within Global Research Organization.
• Define scientific direction for chromatography research and prioritize innovations.
• Oversee instrument design, construction, and evaluation with engineering teams.
• Conduct rigorous experimental/theoretical work on separation science fundamentals.
• Engage with customers across pharma, biotech, and healthcare to address needs.
• Develop fluency in application areas to ensure relevance of chromatographic innovations.
• Provide scientific leadership for invention disclosures, patents, and publications.
• Mentor junior scientists and coordinate agile, cross-disciplinary projects.
