Jobbeschreibung

Myoventive, Inc is a stealth biotechnology company developing precision therapeutics for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior to Principal Scientist to drive cell-based discovery and pharmacology efforts within our biology group. The successful candidate will design and execute in vitro studies that support platform development as well as candidate selection across our antibody-oligonucleotide conjugate (AOC) programs. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires a strong background in utilizing in vitro models for drug development. Prior experience with iPSC-cardiomyocytes is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and interpret in vitro studies to support platform development as well as advance drug discovery efforts
  • Culture, maintain, and treat a range of mammalian cell systems under aseptic conditions, including iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and immortalized cell lines
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot assays including but not limited to RT-qPCR, ddPCR, western blot, ELISA, and flow cytometry/FACS
  • Analyze and effectively communicate research findings to project teams to guide decision-making and experimental planning
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the planning and analysis of in vivo studies
  • Design and/or support externally executed studies, including study management, protocol review, and data analysis
  • Supervise and train research associates as needed to support in vitro studies
  • Accurately record experimental data in electronic lab notebooks in a timely manner
  • Work independently on projects as well as collaborate and communicate effectively across teams to ensure project timelines are met
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures
Required/Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience for Senior Scientist; 8+ years for Principal Scientist
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of cells; prior experience with cardiomyocytes is preferred
  • Experience with a variety of cellular and molecular biology techniques (e.g. RNA isolation, qPCR/ddPCR, western blot, ELISA, flow cytometry/FACS)
  • Experience with in vitro transfection of oligonucleotides (ASO, siRNA, PMO)
  • Prior experience with in vivo sample analysis preferred
  • Proven track record of designing, executing, and interpreting cell-based studies that inform program decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to cross-functional audiences
  • High attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
