Amgen is seeking a Process Development Senior Principal Scientist to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on bioconjugate manufacturing process development for antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) at the Thousand Oaks campus. The role emphasizes innovation, scalability, and collaboration across functions.
The ideal candidate has an advanced degree with extensive experience in bioconjugation, process development, and leadership, and a proven record in regulatory and technology transfer activities
Qualifications
- PhD/MD/PharmD with 3+ years in pharma/biotech or an equivalent post‑doc.
- Experience in bioconjugate process development for ADCs or related modalities.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship in a cross‑functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams to develop sustainable, cost‑effective bioconjugate manufacturing processes across clinical development.
- Drive bioconjugation technology innovation and process optimization.
- Support cGMP manufacturing and tech transfer to CMOs/CMOs.
- Develop process understanding, modeling, and characterization strategies to ensure robust performance.
- Guide project deliverables, timeline adherence, and regulatory dossier support.
- Provide technical mentorship and foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
