Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks a Process Development Senior Principal Scientist in Bioconjugates to lead a multidisciplinary team developing manufacturing processes for ADCs and related bioconjugates across development stages.

You will drive innovation, optimize synthetic routes, and ensure scalable, compliant processes. The role requires deep bioconjugation expertise, leadership, and a track record of publications or patents while mentoring staff and supporting regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD and 3+ years of scientific experience
• Masters degree and 6+ years of scientific experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of scientific experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary project team in developing sustainable, cost-effective processes for bioconjugate manufacturing
• Drive bioconjugation technology innovation
• Support cGMP manufacturing and technology transfer to GMP production facilities
• Develop strategies to ensure process performance through modeling and characterization
• Coach and mentor staff within the organization
• Deliver regulatory documents and support regulatory filings
• Serve as a technical expert and stay current in bioconjugation manufacturing
