Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Ground-Based Radar to join our team, with opportunities in Colorado Springs, CO, or Baltimore, MD, Bellevue, NE, or Azusa, CA.

You will contribute to radar algorithm development and system performance from concept to operations. You’ll lead cross-disciplinary IPTs, translate requirements into concrete designs, and perform analyses to ensure mission success, while collaborating with radar, software, and mission engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; 8+ years experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years experience OR PhD with 4 years experience.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance required at start and within scope.
• Experience with MATLAB and code prototyping; systems engineering lifecycle; radar and signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop radar algorithms and mission capabilities.
• Translate system requirements into algorithm designs and implementation plans.
• Perform functional and performance analyses of radar systems and modes.
• Develop mathematical algorithms for radar sensor implementations.
• Plan and support software integration to model real-time behavior.
• Conduct trajectory threat analysis and simulations; perform trade studies.
