RTX’s Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead architecture development for Ground Based Radar (GBR) systems in the Missile Defense Sensors department, onsite in Woburn, MA. The role emphasizes MBSE, algorithm development, and system-level requirements across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications include a STEM degree with 5+ years experience, MATLAB/LINUX proficiency, and knowledge of radar concepts.

Qualifications

Degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with radar systems or MBSE and/or Cameo.
Proficiency with MATLAB and Linux.
Knowledge of radar concepts: detection, tracking, signal processing.
Experience in system-level requirements development and documentation.
Programming: Python, C/C++, Java; DOORS tooling.
Familiarity with Agile and JIRA/Confluence.
Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Advanced STEM degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of architectures and requirements to define and document GBR systems.
Contribute to architectural framework updates, system-level requirements, test scenarios, and verification approaches.
Conduct requirements analysis and benchmarking to validate algorithms and performance.
Collaborate with software and integration/test engineers to deliver radar solutions.
