Job summary

RTX in Woburn, MA is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Technical SME to support the GLOBUS program on an onsite basis. You will sustain and advance dual-band S-Band/X-Band radar architecture, with deep radar and signal-processing insight to ensure coherent hardware and software updates for long-term sustainment.

The role requires 10+ years in STEM fields, strong execution planning, and leadership across cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in defining and driving technical execution plans.
• Experience with radar systems and algorithms including signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and enhance dual‑band S‑Band/X‑Band radar performance.
• Analyze RF behavior, array calibration, microwave dynamics, and servo/pedestal control.
• Integrate and validate digital beamforming, DREX chains, and upgraded microwave assemblies.
• Solve highly interdependent system‑level issues across hardware and software.
• Collaborate with SMEs to develop, test, and confirm technical theories and system fixes.
• Ensure upgrades remain coherent with long‑term sensor sustainment strategy.
