Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's Santa Clara team seeks a Sr. Principal R&D Project Manager to lead product development, resource, and project management activities aligned with our commercialization goals.

You will gain cross functional alignment on strategic project visions, manage multiple parallel programs, and mentor other PMs while guiding the full product lifecycle from feasibility to market release.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in science, engineering or business administration
• 12+ years of Medical Device experience including a minimum of 7 years of project management experience
• Experience in QSR 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, MDR requirements
• Project Management training/certification is highly preferred
• Experience with process improvement initiatives, project management frameworks and methodologies
• Ability to influence at all functions and levels of the organization
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional activities within the project and the NPD lifecycle and Design Control requirements.
• Plan, schedule, and manage project risk and communicate progress to all levels of the organization.
• Establish project strategy, vision, and maintain alignment inside and outside the team.
• Drive multiple parallel projects with diverse cross-functional team members.
• Oversee all phases from Feasibility to Market Release with Design Control principles.
• Publish dashboards/reports communicating progress, risk, and portfolio achievements.
• Deliver formal communications and effective presentations to stakeholders.
• Mentor other Project Managers in the group as needed.
• Lead complex new product development projects from concept to launch.
• Other duties as assigned.
