Jacobs Management Group is seeking a Principal R&D Engineer to lead development of active implantable medical devices in a senior individual contributor role. Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years in medical device R&D, development, or product engineering.
• Experience with complex medical devices, including implantable systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for active implantable medical devices and electronically driven therapeutic technologies.
• Define system architecture across electrical, mechanical, software, sensing, and integrated device systems.
• Translate clinical needs into engineering specifications and product concepts.
• Lead feasibility assessments, evaluate design alternatives, and identify technical risks.
• Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, quality, and external partners to advance new product development.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams through complex decisions without direct managerial authority.
• Drive systems-level integration and ensure hardware-software alignment.
• Support design reviews, risk management, verification/validation, and investigations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to IP development and long-term strategy.
• Provide technical oversight of external partners and ensure successful integration of components.
