Senior Principal Proposal Analyst – Level 4
Northrop Grumman seeks a Level 4 Senior Principal Proposal Analyst to support proposal and estimating activities on‑site in Melbourne, Florida.

Responsibilities
- Support proposal activities of diverse and inclusive teams with a high level of engagement and collaboration.
- Serve as a key member of proposal teams for firm proposals, not‑to‑exceeds, rough order of magnitude (ROM) and other pricing exercises.
- Develop compliant estimates according to company and government policies and procedures.
- Estimate labor and material costs for manufacturing and engineering based on RFP and change request data.
- Compile cost, schedule and technical elements in proposals in accordance with RFP specifications.
- Maintain historical cost data for estimate development.
- Populate or create models and report‑ready spreadsheet tables and graphs.
- Identify potential problems and anticipate impacts on other areas.
- Review task description and basis of estimate for compliance with capture plans and engineering estimates.
- Generate and maintain proposal data files in Propricer and/or proposal integration folders.
- Support customer RFIs, fact‑finding, updates and corrective actions.
- Participate as a member of the contract negotiations team.
- Support certification sweeps and processes for certifying proposals.
- Support customer and government audits periodically.
- Suggest and implement work‑around solutions to improve the proposal process.
- Support affordability and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- Level 4 (Senior Principal): Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related discipline with 8 years of proposal or material estimating experience, OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
- Experience with rates and factors.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Knowledge of CAS, FAR and DFARS regulations.
- Active US Government Secret or higher clearance (background investigation completed within the last five years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance before employment commences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to quickly join and lead large‑scale proposal activities within a team.
- Knowledge of aerospace production operation functions, tasks and processes.
- Knowledge of internal Northrop Grumman policies, procedures and programs.
- Ability to create automation tools to reduce administrative tasks for the pricing and estimating team.
- Strong presentation skills.
Salary & Benefits
Base salary range: $101,400.00 – $152,200.00. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses and, for senior positions, long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off.
