Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Associate Proposal Analyst to join the Aeronautics Systems Sector, Pricing and Estimating Group. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop and deliver cost proposals that meet RFP requirements.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree by Aug 2027, proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to obtain U.S. government clearance. The position is 100% onsite in Melbourne, Florida.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of proposal activities (Firm Proposals, ROMs, pricing exercises) to meet program and business goals.
  • Develop and help lead proposals by providing clear Pricing and Estimating direction from kick-off through the process.
  • Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in proposals per RFP specifications.
  • Collect cost data from functional representatives and subcontractors.
  • Interact with Business Management, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Logistics to develop strategies.
  • Prepare cost reports and present results to management, contract personnel, and customer representatives.
  • Support Pricing and Estimating team initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process.
  • Participate as a member of the contract negotiating team.
  • Maintain commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls.
  • Support customer fact-finding and DCAA/DCMA audits.

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Proposal Analyst, to join our Aeronautics Systems Sector in the Pricing and Estimating Group, working closely with multiple engineering and manufacturing functions, Global Supply Chain, Program Management Office, and Business Management.

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work, based in our Melbourne, FL offices.

Role and Impact:

  • Support a variety of proposal activities (Firm Proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs), pricing exercises) to meet program and business goals

  • Develop and help lead proposals by providing clear Pricing and Estimating direction from proposal kick-off and continued guidance throughout the process for successful proposal execution

  • Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with Request for Proposal (RFP) specifications

  • Collect cost data from functional representatives and subcontractors

  • Interact and collaborate with other functional areas (Business Management, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Logistics) to develop strategies in support of proposal requirements and deadlines

  • Prepare cost reports and presenting results to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators and customer representatives

  • Support Pricing and Estimating team initiatives and continuous improvement

  • Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process

  • Participate as a member of the contract negotiating team

  • Maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics

  • Effectively support customer fact-finding and DCAA/DCMA audits

  • Research and analyze historical data, develop cost and pricing models to support proposal efforts

  • Ensure proposals are timely, accurate and compliant in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, FAR / DFARS requirements and Sector Estimating System and Procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications for Associate Proposal Analyst (Level 1)

  • Be completing or has completed their degree Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.

  • Be majoring inor having majored inBusiness, Finance, Supply Chain or STEM related degree.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel

  • Be able to obtain andmaintaina U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonableperiod of time, asdeterminedby the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

  • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access maybe requiredto start.

  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Melbourne, FL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field of study

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25out of 4.0 or higher

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent communication skills: oral and written

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experience in supporting negotiations

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Self-motivated and works well in a team environment

Pay range for Associate Proposal Analyst

$54,400 - $81,600
