Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in Illinois is seeking a senior engineering leader to design and implement high-speed automated packaging equipment and related manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with management, production, and maintenance to optimize layouts, workflows, and capital projects, driving efficient production methods and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
10+ years of progressive engineering experience in automated manufacturing equipment.
Experience with high-speed automated packaging or similar regulated equipment.
Strong mechanical design expertise for development and integration.
Knowledge of robotics, motion control, vision systems, sensors, pneumatics, and integrated manufacturing.
Proficiency in statistical methods and advanced mathematics.
Strong computer skills and ability to use complex software.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead teams and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of high-speed automated packaging equipment and manufacturing systems.
Collaborate with management, production, and maintenance to analyze improvements and layout requirements.
Oversee project organization, scheduling, and implementation from concept to completion.
Create production process documentation for new projects in building/equipment/material flow.
Plan installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities beyond maintenance scope using SolidWorks or CAD.
Provide training on new systems to Production, Maintenance, and Validations teams.
Manage multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines and complete assignments.
