Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in Rockford, IL seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design and deployment of high-speed automated packaging equipment and related manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with management, production, and maintenance to optimize layouts, schedules, and project execution, while directing capital budget activities and ensuring compliance with cGMP and GCP policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in automated manufacturing.
• Extensive experience with high-speed automated equipment and packaging systems.
• Strong knowledge of robotics, motion control, automation, and machine vision.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of high-speed automated packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with management, production and maintenance on improvements and layout.
• Oversee conceptual development, scheduling and implementation of projects.
• Create production process documentation for new projects.
• Plan installation, testing, operation, and repair of facilities and equipment; use SolidWorks or CAD.
• Provide training on new systems to production, maintenance and validations.
• Manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
• Direct capital budget activities for equipment and construction.
• Coordinate projects across engineering and other departments.
• Report status, issues and strategic direction to upper management.
• Ensure activities align with KPIs and maintain project documentation.
