Job Title: Senior Principal Networks and Services Systems Engineer (ESB)

Required Education and Experience:

  • Experience: minimum of ten (10) years’ experience or equivalent in systems engineering SATCOM Hub
  • Nodes, including experience providing centralized network operations and management to include the preparation and processing of Satellite Access Requests and Alternate Satellite Requests; implementation of quality control measures to ensure prompt error correction steps can be taken when necessary.
  • Proficiencies: skills/knowledge of the following DoD networks NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, NSANET and othernetworks used to support experimentation; and hardware resource allocation between modems, routers and multiplexers in the preparation of event cut-sheets.
  • Be computer literate with emphasis on proficiency with MS Office products (i.e.; MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access).

Certifications:

  • Certification & Training, Baseline, day 1: Any one of the following certifications: Security+, CASP,+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, GCED, GCIH, CND, CISA, SSCP, CCSP
  • Certification & Training, CE, day 1: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security or CCNP Enterprise.
  • Certification & Training, CE, within 6 months: none
  • Experience: minimum of ten (10) years’ experience or equivalent in systems engineering SATCOM Hub Nodes, including experience providing centralized network operations and management to include the preparation and processing of Satellite Access Requests and Alternate Satellite Requests; implementation of quality control measures to ensure prompt error correction steps can be taken when necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional classroom and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Workdays do not include working or conducting business on Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed closings.

Travel: No travel is expected for this position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • May be asked to provide proof of US citizenship
  • Must be able to maintain a US Government issued TS clearance with SCI eligibility throughout the life of the contract.
