Job summary

Clarity Innovations seeks a highly skilled, cleared Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain secure, scalable networks for classified government projects. You will work across cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premises devices, using IaC to automate deployments.

You will implement secure networking, VPNs, firewalls, and segmentation, collaborating with CI/CD teams and government stakeholders to meet mission-critical requirements.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (citizens only).
• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years hands-on software/network experience.
• 3–5+ years in network engineering for cloud and hardware devices.
• IaC tools Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation proficiency.
• Strong secure networking knowledge: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs.
• Cloud networking in AWS/Azure; VPCs, security groups, hybrid links.
• Scripting for management: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, DISA STIGs security frameworks.
• Problem solving, clear communication, and teamwork for government projects.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) for network changes.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage classified cloud networking and physical devices.
• Implement and maintain IaC-based network infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible.
• Collaborate with development, security, and cloud teams to integrate networking with CI/CD.
• Design scalable, secure architectures for evolving mission needs with government stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with government protocols, including VPNs, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and hardening of network devices for compliance.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues in classified environments; perform root-cause analysis.
• Document network architectures, configurations, and IaC scripts securely.
• Assist with capacity planning and hybrid-cloud scaling for integrated resources.
• Stay updated on security best practices and industry trends in network design.
