Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Principal Machine Learning Engineer to lead AI initiatives within the Engineering AI Team. You will drive development across design, production, and sustainment, building scalable AI capabilities and integrating them into engineering workflows.

The role demands hands-on ML mastery, leadership experience, and collaboration with Engineering, Digital, and Operations teams. Hybrid work and a strong cloud/AI platform focus are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 10+ years of digital/engineering experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Proven leadership in developing and deploying Data & AI solutions in complex environments.
• Experience in production AI/ML, including model deployment and MLOps.
• Experience architecting software integrating AI into workflows.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based chat systems (ChatGPT, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and integration of AI/ML solutions across engineering systems.
• Build, test, deploy, and monitor AI systems across multiple use cases.
• Oversee data strategy, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain full-stack software integrating AI models.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI engineering standards.
