Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Sr Principal Mission Management Equipment Engineer to lead the definition, integration, test, and certification of mission management hardware and software for avionics platforms. Onsite role in Melbourne, FL, with clearances and close collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Must have STEM degree as minimum educational requirement with experience in engineering.
• Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems is required.
• Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody) is required.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance is required to apply and to start the role, with ability to obtain Top Secret if needed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architecture.
• Design and develop data storage solutions, perform hardware integration and testing, and requirements analysis.
• Perform analyses and estimate performance of components, subsystems and systems to standards.
• Document designs with detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate subsystems to meet mission objectives.
• Provide technical management of program partners and suppliers, including development and test support.
• Develop supplier documentation and statements of work; conduct supplier evaluations.
