Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks a Principal/Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer – Mission Processing to join our team.

The role focuses on the definition, design, integration, test and certification of mission processing hardware and software, with responsibilities spanning requirements flow-down, system modeling, and collaboration with IPTs. Candidates must hold a STEM degree with 5+ years (or a Master’s with 3+ years) and have active US Government Secret clearance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of professional/military engineering experience or Master’s with 3+ years of experience.
• Sr. Principal: 8+ years with Bachelor’s or 6+ years with Master’s.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering in Cameo or similar tools.
• Experience with mission processing, network and communication design, development and test methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems.
• Technical management of partners and suppliers, including development, acceptance, and test support.
• Develop supplier documentation and statements of work.
• Build supplier evaluation criteria and conduct technical evaluations.
• Review supplier development documents and support design reviews.
