Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior CIAM Architect to lead architecture, strategy, and standards for enterprise CIAM solutions across external users and customer-facing services.

The role focuses on translating business needs into scalable, secure identity solutions while ensuring security, availability, and operational readiness across global CIAM environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in information technology, cybersecurity, software engineering, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years as a Technical Architect for CIAM/IAM enterprise platforms.
• 5+ years designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise-scale IAM solutions.
• 5+ years in information security engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or software development.
• U.S. work authorization required for roles at this level; foreign degrees must meet regulatory criteria.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and technical strategy for CIAM platforms supporting external users and customer-facing services


• Define and maintain technology architecture standards, reference models, and design principles for CIAM solutions


• Translate business and technology requirements into scalable, secure, and operationally sustainable identity solutions


• Provide technical leadership for evaluating, selecting, implementing, and enhancing identity and access management technologies


• Ensure security, availability, performance, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness across CIAM environments


• Establish and maintain technical, operational, audit, security, and support documentation


• Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and identity standards for continuous improvement and future-state architecture planning


• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve complex issues, assess capabilities, and support proof-of-concept initiatives


• Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 8+ years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, software engineering, or related technical disciplines


• 5+ years of experience serving as a Technical Architect for a Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) enterprise platform


• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, or supporting identity and access management solutions at enterprise scale


• 5+ years of experience in information security engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or software development


• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required


• U.S. work authorization requirements apply; unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for roles below Principal level


• Active CISSP certification or comparable industry-recognized security certification preferred


• 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or comparable platform ownership role preferred


• Prior Medtronic experience preferred


• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred


• Experience developing and implementing large-scale consumer identity and access management solutions preferred


• Experience leading cross-functional and global teams in complex technology transformation or security initiatives preferred
